Family Provider Network, Inc., formerly named Southeast Raleigh Family Provider Support Group, was organized by Shirley W. Brown in 2004.
Shirley Brown graduated from Wake Technical Community College in 2003 with an AAS degree in early childhood education. Mrs. Brown started her family child care business in 1997 and is continuing to excel in her child care profession. While in school and operating her own family child care business, Mrs. Brown saw a need to have an organization that would help family child care providers with their business; to help other family child care providers excel in their business and help them to create their own environments of excellence.
